Being more on the quiet side, Charis may not have always been in the "spotlight" in school. However, her teachers were always aware of her self-driven and hardworking nature. She was on top of her academics as well as participative in school events and activities, such as the photography club. She also took part in class plays and performances during Awards Nights.
Charis has always been keen to pursue studies and a career in the fashion industry. Upon graduation, she enrolled in Raffles Design Institute, Singapore, and also went on to win a design award with Tommy Hilfiger.
